Young people got great results in a very short time – better ability to communicate, calmer, and less tired and stressed, while feeling stronger and better about themselves. Boxercise gives you a fast boost in confidence and physical strength, so if you haven’t already, give this sport a try!
The four month program of free sports was generously sponsored by PlaySport London and the borough of Newham.
Boxercise runs from 5 PM to 6 PM sharp, so please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early. Each Wednesday and Friday, except for the holiday break.

Dates Before Christmas:
Wednesday Dec 8, and Friday Dec 10.
Wednesday Dec 15, and Friday Dec 17.
Dates After Holiday Break:
Wednesday Jan 5 and Friday Jan 7
Then every Wednesday and Friday through March, 2011.
Our instructors are experienced and fully qualified so you get the most out of your Boxercise. If you have special needs, let us know so we can be sure to accomodate you. It is our pleasure to introduce Boxercise to disabled children and adults.

Dear Malaika Youth Project,
My name is Esther Roberts. I am 10 years of age. I have been attending boxercise sessions all through my summer holidays. I really had fun, I went to Malaika Youth Project’s website and looked at the comments, that meant a lot. Malaika does an outstanding job for children like me, and once someone has attended one of the sessions, hey will not want to go back home, and I am a witness. Malaika Youth Project is very good because it helps me get in shape and stay healthy. Boxercise was great and I really learnt alot, hope to go again this winter or next summer.
I will keep visiting the website to see where you’re going to do your winter boxercise sessions. I am really looking forward to met more people and make friends, now that I am confident about myself and my self esteem has improved because I was shy at meeting new people but not anymore. Thanks to Malaika Youth Project, big thanks.
Last Wednesday was supposed to be the last Boxercise in the Park the year. But so many of you came and enjoyed it and asked for more…that we’re extending it one more week. Wednesday, 29 September will be the last class for this summer, held at the same place and time: West Ham Park at 6:00 PM.
Thanks to all the students of the Manor Primary School who joined Boxercise in the Park and asked for us to come to your school once a week. We hope to be able grant your wish very soon!
Our big thanks also goes to all the other participants, who have helped to make this such a successful program. And as always, we’re grateful to PlaySport London for making this program possible.
You’ve told us that Boxercise in the Park helps you to feel better about yourselves, gives you more energy through the week, and helps you to tackle problems with a better attitude. We listened, and doubled the program, offering two sessions of Boxercise per week.

The young people in our classes are telling us that they love Boxercise and want to do more. They are getting better, faster, stronger and enjoying the benefits of a more active lifestyle. More energy, feeling better about themselves, improved concentration at work and at school. Summer will soon be over, so don’t miss the remaining classes.

Yesterday’s Boxercise session at West Ham Park was so crowded that the police came over to make sure everything was alright! We were pleased by their interest, actually, as they very kindly told us that we had the Best Project they’d seen in our area and encouraged us to ‘keep it up!’
So thank you all for coming and making this summer program such a success. With just a few weeks left of the summer, we don’t want to hear any excuses about why you can’t make it to class. We are really enjoying watching the gains people have achieved – feeling more confident, stronger, having more energy – all while having a good time.
