Sports for All

Coach | April 12th, 2011 - 3:50 am

(Sneak peeks of our Notebook – download our Newsletter free)

This winter, it was a special pleasure to welcome disabled young men and women to a new sport.

Young people got great results in a very short time – better ability to communicate, calmer, and less tired and stressed,  while feeling stronger and better about themselves. Boxercise gives you a viagra 100mg tablets fast boost in confidence and physical strength, so if you haven’t already, give this sport a try!

The four month program of free sports was generously sponsored by PlaySport London and the borough of Newham.

Summer Program Over – Thanks For Making It Such A Success!

Coach | October 3rd, 2010 - 7:21 pm

We could not have done the program without your participation and PlaySport London’s support.

Our big thanks go out to all of you who helped to make the summer program such a happy time. Many of you brought your friends, which added to the fun.

We are also grateful to Esther for her kind words:

Dear Malaika Youth Project,

My name is Esther Roberts. I am 10 years of age. I have been attending boxercise sessions all through my summer holidays. I really had fun, I went to Malaika Youth Project’s website and looked at the comments, that meant a lot. Malaika does an outstanding job for children like me, and once someone has attended  one of the sessions, hey will not want to go back home, and I am a witness. Malaika Youth Project is very good because it helps me get in shape and stay healthy. Boxercise was great and I really learnt alot, hope to go again this winter or next summer.

I will keep visiting the website to see where you’re going to do your winter boxercise sessions. I am really looking forward to met more people and make friends, now that I am confident about myself and my self esteem has improved because I was shy at meeting new people but not anymore. Thanks to Malaika Youth Project, big thanks.

Yours truly,

Esther

Big thanks to YOU!

Boxercise is a Great Overall Workout

Coach | August 21st, 2010 - 8:49 pm

We had a great Boxercise session Saturday morning! The girls told us they loved it and want to continue. Today, they learned correct stance and defensive tactics, and jumped and ran among the cones – an excellent overall cardiovascular workout. They also learned how to do warm ups before a workout, and cools downs afterward, to increase flexibility and help prevent injuries.

We are very pleased to have the opportunity to offer free Boxercise in the Park this summer, through the generosity of PlaySport London. And a big THANK YOU to all the who have been attending our classes and making them such a success. if you haven’t yet tried Boxercise, let us introduce you to an exhilarating sport.

Is Everything Alright Over Here?

Coach | August 19th, 2010 - 3:18 pm

(Since it’s now illegal to take photos of police in the UK, we’re using this old photo of a London Bobby!)

Yesterday’s Boxercise session at West Ham Park was so crowded that the police came over to make sure everything was alright! We were pleased by their interest, actually, as they very kindly told us that we had the Best Project they’d seen in our area and encouraged us to ‘keep it up!’

So thank you all for coming and making this summer program such a success. With just a few weeks left of the summer, we don’t want to hear any excuses about why you can’t make it to class. We are really enjoying watching the gains people have achieved – feeling more confident, stronger, having more energy – all while having a good time.

We are grateful not only to all the people who come to our free classes but also to Playsport London for making it possible by sponsoring the Boxercise in the Park program.
